The Indices hub - NSE and BSE benchmarks

Every major index in one place, with constituents, PE/PB metrics, and historical performance. The reference page when you want index context.

What's on the hub

A grid of every benchmark and sectoral index tracked by aftermarkets. For each:

  • Current level
  • Day change (absolute and percent)
  • 1W / 1M / 3M / 1Y returns
  • PE, PB, dividend yield
  • A sparkline

The grid is sortable by any column. Click an index name to open its detail page with constituents.

The index categories

NSE benchmarks

  • Nifty 50 — 50 largest by free-float market cap
  • Nifty Next 50 — 51–100
  • Nifty 100, 200, 500 — successively broader
  • Nifty Midcap 100, 150 — mid-cap focus
  • Nifty Smallcap 100, 250 — small-cap focus

NSE sectoral

Bank Nifty, Nifty IT, Nifty Auto, Nifty Pharma, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Metal, Nifty Energy, Nifty Realty, Nifty Media, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Private Bank, Nifty Financial Services.

BSE benchmarks and sectoral

BSE Sensex, BSE 500, BSE MidCap, BSE SmallCap, and BSE's sectoral indices.

The index detail page

Clicking any index opens its detail page with:

  • Performance over the last year (chart)
  • PE / PB / dividend yield history
  • Full constituents list with weights
  • Top performers and laggards within the index for the chosen window

The constituents list is the most useful piece. For Nifty Bank that's 12 banks with their respective weights — gives you a one-screen view of which names are dragging the index up or down.

What to use the indices hub for

  • Pre-market context — what did Nifty IT do yesterday before I trade IT names today?
  • Sector rotation — is the metal index outperforming over 3M while autos lag?
  • Valuation benchmark — is the Nifty PE elevated relative to history?
  • Index-constituent analysis — which stocks dragged Nifty Bank today?

Index PE/PB sourcing

The PE and PB values on this page come from NSE and BSE's published index metrics — they reflect the index's aggregate ratio, not a simple average. Stock-level PE/PB lives on the Fundamentals tab.
