Getting Started·Beginner·2 min read

Your first 10 minutes on aftermarkets

Five steps that turn the platform from a homepage into something you actually use. Watchlist, alerts, conviction, portfolio, AI chat - in roughly that order.

The platform makes sense once you've connected it to stocks you care about. Five steps gets you there.

  1. Sign in if you haven't

Most browsing works without an account. To save screeners, set alerts, build a watchlist, or sync your broker you'll need to sign in. Google OAuth is one click; email signup also works.

  2. Build a watchlist (2 minutes)

Open the Portfolio page. Use the symbol input to add five to ten stocks you already follow or own. This is the foundation everything else hangs off: your homepage, your conviction summary, your filing alerts, the AI chat's default context.

On Free you add holdings by hand. Pro adds CSV/Excel import from your broker's export and direct broker sync.

  3. Pick one stock and look at its conviction (1 minute)

From your watchlist, click any stock symbol. The page header shows the conviction badge (Strong·Bullish or similar) with a checklist score next to it.

Scroll to the Overview tab. The conviction breakdown is collapsible; expand it to see all seven factors and which way each is firing. This is how the platform reasons about any stock.

  4. Set one alert (1 minute)

Click the bell icon on any stock page. Set a price alert (e.g. "notify me if HDFCBANK drops below ₹1,500") or a signal alert (e.g. "notify me if RELIANCE hits a 52-week high"). Alerts fire as in-app notifications and push notifications on the mobile app.

The Alerts page lists everything you've set. You can edit or delete from there.

  5. Try the AI chat (2 minutes)

Press cmd+j (or ctrl+j on Windows) from anywhere on the site. A slide-over panel opens. Ask anything: "How has TCS performed this quarter?", "Compare HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank on profitability", "What stocks have a strong bullish conviction today?"

The chat is contextual: if you're on a stock page when you open it, the assistant already knows which stock you're asking about. Free includes a Limited AI usage meter; Pro and Max have larger budgets.

What to do next

Once your watchlist is built and you have a feel for the data, the most useful next move is to learn the screener. It's the difference between reacting to stocks you already know and finding stocks worth knowing.
