What is a good delivery percentage?

There is no universal threshold, but delivery above 50% is generally considered strong for large-caps, and above 40% for mid and small-caps. What matters more is the deviation from the stock's own average — a stock that normally runs 30% delivery suddenly printing 70% is more interesting than a stock that always sees 60%.

Where does delivery data come from?

NSE publishes delivery data as part of its daily bhavcopy (the end-of-day trade file), typically available by 6 PM IST. BSE publishes the equivalent. aftermarkets ingests both sources nightly.

Can delivery data be manipulated?

Individual trades can't be faked, but institutions sometimes spread buying across multiple days to avoid spikes. That's why a 5–10 day trend reads more reliably than any single day's print.
